Description
Bunshri Chandaria’s Silent Voice about Alzheimer’s – a Boxed Collector’s Edition comes with an A4 original Giclee print. Art Muse describes the book as opening up like an accordion to reflect the fluctuating nature of memories.
Upon opening the box, the viewer is invited into Chandaria’s late mother-in-law, Ramaba’s new world. An A4 original Giclee print brings alive one of the stories relating to the image. In Ramaba’s own words, “I was your childhood friend. You gave me your daughter.”
The making of this book was a journey where Chandaria heard untold stories – she reveals in the afterword how she kindles Ramaba’s deep-rooted memories. Through Chandaria’s enigmatic images, Ramaba’s spoken words, and the footnotes, she aims to strike a balance between the emotional content, the significance of the moment and the beauty of reality, no matter how harsh.
From Chandaria’s lens to Ramaba’s and now yours. Are you ready to see the new Alzheimer’s world through Ramaba’s lens offering insights into the world of someone experiencing Alzheimer’s?
Testimonials:
• The achingly beautiful Silent Voice’ is a poignant memento of a life well lived but also touches on how affected by Alzheimer’s. Heart breaking yet peaceful, calm yet urgent. Highly recommended. (By a doctor/photographer).
• It is a riveting story of Bunshri’s mother-in-law. She told it with much love, empathy and compassion. Beautiful, so beautiful. It touched me deeply.
